Imagine the Unimaginable
This sermon draws a parallel between Thomas's doubt and humanity's journey to explore space, particularly the recent Artemis II mission that took astronauts farther than ever before. At one point traveling to the dark side of the moon was unimaginable but is now reality. In a similar way, the resurrection seemed impossible until it became the foundation of our faith. The central spiritual lesson is: we serve a God who specializes in making the unimaginable real. We're reminded that doubt is not the opposite of faith but often a stepping stone toward deeper belief. Jesus doesn't reject Thomas for his doubt; instead, He meets him exactly where he is, offering tangible proof and gentle correction. This same grace extends to us when we struggle to believe in God's presence during difficult times. The message challenges us to dare to imagine that the resurrected Christ is actively working in unexpected places in our lives, transforming what seems impossible into reality through His power and love.
