Fire! Fire! Set your life on fire!

What does it mean to truly hear God's call, and what holds us back from answering it? This sermon takes us on a journey through fire, both literal and spiritual, to explore how God breaks through the routines and assumptions of our everyday lives. From the burning bush where Moses encounters the living God, to the moment Peter boldly confesses his faith only to immediately misunderstand its meaning, we see how human logic can both draw us toward and blind us to the divine mystery. The image of fire runs throughout as a powerful symbol of God's holy presence, dangerous and beyond our control, yet irresistibly drawing us toward warmth, light, and life. We are invited to ask ourselves: where are the burning bushes in our own lives, and are we paying attention?
