St. Barnabas loves kids, and we prioritize them in the life of our congregation. Kids are always welcome in church, and we love it when they lift their voices (or cries!) in worship. We also have multiple regular offerings for children that aim to help parents raise their kids in faith.

Children's Church
Our popular children's church program for kids Pre-K-3rd grade meets on Sundays during the 10AM service. Kids learn the stories of the Bible and exercise their faith through crafts and other activities.

Awe & Wonder
Awe and Wonder is a place for children and youth ages 4-14 to explore a deeper relationship with God through imagination, nature, and the arts.

Children's Newsletter
Occasionally, we send a special newsletter which includes a word from Father Justin about how families can live spiritually, a column on parenting by parishioner and teacher Susan Fisher, and updates from Dr. Jewelle and the ministry team.

Music for Kids 8 and under
Children's Church regularly features music lessons by Megan Friar, alto in our choir, and kids share their songs seasonally in church accompanied by our director of music, Marnus.
SUNDAY MORNING HOW-TO
During the 10AM service, we offer programming for children and youth. Children’s Church & YC (a.k.a. Youth Church) welcomes kids of all ages to Sunday Summer Church starting on Sunday, June 14. This “one room schoolhouse” style summer programming is a time for kids to grow in fellowship and faith while playing games, making crafts, and telling stories during the 10 AM service. Kids return to their families at the Peace to partake in Holy Communion. Regular Children’s Church & YC programming resume Sunday, September 13.
